Aidan
Founder & Creative Director
Aidan is the founder and creative director of Compass Video, bringing over twenty-two years of production experience to the team, with sixteen of those working professionally. With a background that includes a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Queensland and foundational film and visual effects training at TAFE, his creative style is clean, slow, and methodical. Aidan values well-positioned, purposeful shots and deliberate storytelling, overseeing every project from the initial concept through to final delivery.
He is particularly drawn to working with charities and not-for-profit organisations, finding immense reward in telling story-centric, compassionate stories that give back to the community. Outside of the studio, Aidan is a big gamer and an avid mountain biker who has ridden all over Australia and internationally, documenting his travels on his YouTube channel, Bicycle Curious. Remarkably, his adventures have led to him breaking bones in his right hand four separate times, while his left hand remains completely unscathed.

Jonathon "Jono"
Lead Videographer
Jono has spent over six years behind the lens working across live sports, commercial projects, and narrative filmmaking. A Griffith University film graduate, his approach as a camera operator focuses on being innovative, strategic, and engaging. He is at his best when collaborating with ambitious brands and people who want to push boundaries and create a real impact.
For Jono, the best part of the Compass team is the constant variety and the daily challenge of adapting to different environments to deliver high-quality visuals. Outside of production, you will usually find him running, boxing, or diving deep into business and psychology books to understand what drives people and growth.
Favourite food: Mexican beef mince
Zeva
Post Production Specialist
Zeva practically grew up with a camera in hand, later turning that lifelong obsession into a film degree from Griffith University. As our post-production specialist, he brings a distinct mix of vibes, swag, and style to the editing suite. He has a massive soft spot for live events and food content, mostly because it gets him front-row seats and lets him skip the queues.
Zeva loves the sheer variety of the work at Compass, whether he is assembling a quiet conversation in the park one day or dealing with footage shot eighty feet in the air from a harness the next. When he is not piecing stories together, he is usually skating, playing DnD, hitting the gym, or talking someone’s ear off.
Favourite food: Mozzarella cheese sticks dipped in marinara sauce
